home sweet home...

What can I say...it's so good to finally be home in my own room, eating familiar food and seeing family again. I was checking on the kilometers driven since i left Quebec on March 17th...it added up to 15,400 km = approx. 9500 miles. Wow!!! That was sure a lot of driving for being on the road in one month, yet it was well worth it. Now i need to get addresses and information together so that i can share the highlights and my preparations for heading to Paris in the near future. Let's also not forget to pray for the families who lost loved ones in the horrible school shooting at Virginia Tech. People need the LORD!!

I can't tell you all how much of a blessing this faith trip 2007 has been for me!! I could tell you story after story of how God has provided for me on this trip since the day I left home on March 17th. Actually, on tuesday, I will be home one month exactly from the time i left Quebec. In a couple hours i will leave Bethelhem, PA where I have been staying with supporters, and head out to Bradford, MA (just north of Boston) to be with some of my distant relatives. Tomorrow I speak at my relative's church, and then the last leg of my trip will be spent with a good friend in Maine that i knew in Romania when I was there. Thanks to all of you who prayed for me during these 4 weeks on the road! I believe the exact miles driven on this trip will hit a little 6000 miles on Tuesday when I drive up in my parent's driveway.

Hey everyone! Well...I'm back in Chicago aka as the Windy City. I was able to have some really sweet fellowship with a dear friend and supporter on Monday night near Akron, OH. Rev James Edmundson is 84 years old, yet what a blessing to hear this man of God sharing about the 9 men he mentors and the many he supports financially. Tuesday night I arrived in Indianapolis at Verity. It was so good being back at the South Campus after serving there with the Russian orphans in 98-99. I also got to spend the evening with the McCray kids nearby. The most awesome blessing came through the love offering given by the Verity students...I counted close to $400 last night in all the pocket money received. I also was able to share France with the small group of a Moody friend in northern Chicago where I'm staying today. This evening I will be spending the night with my old RA and his wife from Moody 2003-2005. They live near in Hinsdale, IL where he's a youth pastor. Tomorrow I head off to Minnesota where I will be speaking at my mother's home church on Sunday morning.

I just wanted to let you know that I made it safely to Oneonta, NY yesterday. After leaving home in Quebec where 16" of snow had fallen during the night and early morning the roads cleared up so that the drive was pleasant. I was able to speak at West Oneonta Baptist church this morning for both services. I will be speaking at another small Baptist church this evening. God is faithful! Tomorrow i head off for Akron, OH area. Please pray that the roads will be clear.

I was so excited today to go to the mail and get my cd from Keith & Krysten Getty (Christian Irish composer & singer). This year for Founders Week 2007 I heard the music of Keith & Krysten Getty through the internet...Keith is like the new hymn writer of our day. This is truly my prayer for myself and each of you, that we would believe that God is going to do far more greater than we would ever dare to ask or dream of. A week from now I will be on the road sharing my vision and passion for the ministry God has called to in France. I will start this one month faith trip on Saturday March 17th, and speak in homes, churches and one school until April 16th when I finally arrive back home in Quebec. I ask you to pray fervently for the people of France and my team as we prepare ourselves to see the light of Christ pierce through the extreme darkness in Paris. God has spoken to many people...and it's their responsibility before the Lord to answer the call!!

Women and the death penalty in modern Iran.

"The comparison between modern British girls and modern Iranian girls living less than 3,000 miles apart could hardly be more stark.In Britain, a young woman can wear pretty clothes and makeup in public, talk on her mobile, smoke, go for a drink and have a boyfriend. If she gets pregnant, the state will look after her. If she commits a crime, the worst that can happen to her is imprisonment in a humanely run prison.
In Iran, she must cover her head at all times and may not wear makeup or do anything to display her femininity in public. She may not drink alcohol or associate with boys and if she gets caught, she will be flogged. If she gets caught having sex or gets pregnant outside marriage, she can be sentenced to death for adultery or moral crimes. a winter walk...

It was a gorgeous day...so i took a walk on this boardwalk nearby that passes through a marsh...of course, it's all frozen and covered with snow at this time of the year, but what a wonderful time to be in touch with my Maker. It was so neat to just walk and walk and walk as I was talking with God. I have a lot on my mind these days with this upcoming one month "faith trip" that I will be taking to the States starting March 17th...finding the rest of my support for France...thank you Lord for your peace that is displayed throughout your creation!!

As I read through our guide 40 Days of Prayer for Paris I decided to post what I was reading and praying. I invite you all to continue interceding with my team and I before the Father for France. Grace, peace and love to you all!
